"THERE IS NO VICTORY WITHOUT EFFORT"

CONOR GRANT

Conor's love of speed started at an early age, racing up and down a windy Irish beach on his mini quad bike. It wasn't until 2017 that he drove a professional race kart and his young life changed forever. Karting would go on to dominate the next seven years with Conor racing on the best kart tracks in Ireland, the UK and Europe.

Conor has had much success on track over the years. He is now one of Ireland's best young drivers, thanks to his dominance in the 2023 Senior X30 Championship. In 2024, Conor competed on the European circuit, honing his skills and developing his race craft.

Conor made his F4 single seater-open wheel debut at the season finale of the JS F4 Series in COTA, Texas in October 2024 with Champagne Racing.

2025 sees Conor racing the FIA U.S. Formula 4 Championship with Scuderia Buell . He is one of only three Irish drivers globally racing on the FIA Formula ladder and the only one on the grid in the USA, the year ahead is going to be an exciting one.

"Grit" best describes the trait that drives Conor forward, the challenges he has faced have only strengthened his resilience, determination, and commitment. He has a never-ending will to win and is working to be the best version of himself both on and off the track. When not racing, he focuses on his education and fitness. He also gives back to the sport he loves, volunteering with the Wexford Motor Club Youth Academy. This young driver training program has achieved much success and is ranked among the best in Ireland.

Round 1 - NOLA - New Orleans
The 1st round of the championship took place in Louisiana in March. Conor, was honoured to drive car #54 which was his very special karting number. The weekend was a mix of ups and downs, with technically difficulties plaguing the team both in pre-race testing and during the weekend. However, Conor showed good pace, qualifying in P6 - he finished race one in P5, race two in P8 and he had a DNF in race 3 having hit water on the track brough on by the car ahead. Overall, it was a tough but productive weekend, where the knowledge gained will stand to him for the rest of the season.

experience and with the teams support Conor achieve some fantastic results for this first race in Formula 4.

Following a strong qualifying session Conor started Race 1 P10 on the grid,  after some close fought battles he finished P9. On Friday, Race 2 saw Conor come in with a very convincing P6 finish. After picking up damage in the opening lap of the Race 3 he fought hard to get the most out of the car in order to finish the race, bringing it home in P14.

Overall, it was a very strong performance for Conor's debut race on such an epic track and important occasion.

FEED F4 Academy 2024 – Semi-finalist

Run in conjunction with the French Racing Federation FFSA, this academy saw almost 60 drivers from 17 countries compete for a place in the French F4 Championship. Having secured his place in the semi-final Conor was disappointed to miss out on a seat in the final.

It was, however, an amazing achievement considering Conor had little or no experience in single seater race cars. The academy performance proved to Conor that he is capable of making a very successful transition from karting to single seater racing.

“He is impressive. I was pleased with his steady approach to the weekend and especially as he has so little time in a car. For a young man to be thrown in the deep end like that at a daunting track like COTA in a car he only met a few days before is no small task and he handled it all with great maturity. So, we would love to see Conor racing over here.”

"Conor worked with the Wexford Motor Club Youth Academy in 2024, giving the students the benefit of his vast karting experience. He was also a member of our end of year student assessment team. I have always been impressed by Conor’s passion for his sport and his determination to succeed. He has been great with the younger kids in the Academy and no matter what we have asked of him he has risen to the occasion. We are delighted that Conor has committed to work with the Academy again in 2025 and want to wish him every success as he builds the next exciting stage of his motorsport career."
